Daisy Kent in defense.
The former Bachelor star speaks out in support of season 28 lead Joey Graziadei and his fiancée Kelsey Anderson after revealing the two are staying with friends.
“It’s a normal thing you would do, you know what I mean? Their lives have changed tremendously. Obviously they’re working on maintaining their relationship, they’re going to move in together,” Kent, 25, tells Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea while promoting her partnership with Daisy Cottage Cheese.
“I think, yes, that’s just how life goes. I love their honesty and openness,” she continues, emphasizing that she enjoys it when her own roommates spend time with her boyfriend Thor Herbst.
“I love it when my boyfriend hangs out with my roommates,” Kent notes, “so I’m sure it’s great.”
In June, Graziadei opened up on Jason Tartick’s Trading Secrets podcast about having to move in with Anderson and her roommates after his credit score plummeted during production on ABC’s long-running dating competition series.
“(My credit score) was 730 and I went on the show and had a payment on a credit card that I didn’t answer for two and a half months,” he said at the time. “I dropped about 80 points. So what the hell?”
Graziadei, 29, further complained that due to the situation he “couldn’t even get into an apartment building.”
“I was on a TV show and when I came back my credit rating was in the basement,” he said. “For God’s sake.”
Graziadei’s promise to help 26-year-old Anderson financially as she quit her job to start a new life as an engaged couple added to the pressure.
Nevertheless, the duo remains strong – and the same goes for Kent’s friendship with Anderson, even though Anderson competes with him for Graziadei’s heart.
“It’s easier to stay friends than people think sometimes. And you go through it all together and you all know what you’re getting into… I’m actually going to see Kelsey in the next few weeks, so I’m looking forward to that,” she explains.
“So I would say it was really positive for us. We were really friends on the show, so it was very easy and genuine in that regard.”
After finishing filming her season of The Bachelor, Kent not only built a stronger bond with Anderson, but also reconnected with her boyfriend Herbst, whom she knew from college, and feels ready to take the relationship to the next level.
She tells Virtual Reali-Tea that she plans to move in with him in the near future.
“I would say next year we’ll definitely be moving in together, which I’m really looking forward to,” she says. “But we spend so much time together that it feels like we’re really living together.”
Until then, Kent is enjoying her role as an ambassador for Daisy Cottage Cheese — which she says she demonstrated by airing commercials for the product throughout her time on The Bachelor.
“I’ve been eating cottage cheese since I was little. It’s America’s favorite brand of cottage cheese and it has my name on it, so I was always into it when I was little,” says the blonde beauty, who created a unique Daisy Caprese recipe.
“It definitely tastes the best (of cottage cheese), so I’m excited.”
