According to The Mirror, Meghan was originally christened Rachel Meghan Markle, but she rarely uses her first name in public. The late Queen Elizabeth II highlighted the full names Meghan and Prince Harry when she gave her official consent for the couple to marry.
“My Lords, I give my consent to a marriage contract between my dearly beloved grandson Prince Henry Charles Albert David of Wales and Rachel Meghan Markle. This consent I cause to be recorded under the Great Seal and entered in the Books of the Privy Council,” the Queen said at the time.
The reason Meghan does not use her name Rachel publicly is unclear. Recently, a TikToker who runs a Harry-Meghan fan page on the platform called team_meghanxharry revealed Meghan’s first name.

PR expert Ronn Torossian has since revealed why he believes Harry and Meghan’s friendship with the likes of George Clooney and Victoria Beckham has broken down. “It’s clear that some of Meghan’s celebrity friendships have cooled in recent years,” he said. “Meghan herself recently expressed this indirectly when she gave away a limited edition batch of her American Riviera Orchard Jams.”
Some of Meghan’s close friends, such as Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry, did not post publicly about the product, leading many to suspect they had fallen out with the Duchess. “The lack of public support or the lack of gifts speaks to the cooling of those relationships and the shrinking of her Hollywood circle,” Torossian told The Express.
“The ongoing media scrutiny and public controversy surrounding Harry and Meghan makes associating with them less attractive for some celebrities. In addition, some may want to avoid a potential falling out with the reigning British royal family,” he added.
