Great news for fans of Shah Rukh Khan: He and his two sons Aryan and AbRam will be providing voiceovers for the Hindi version of the highly anticipated film “Mufasa: The Lion King”.
The makers of the film released the Hindi trailer today and announced that Shah Rukh Khan will voice Mufasa, Aryan will voice Simba and AbRam will voice young Mufasa.
Sharing the trailer, Shah Rukh Khan wrote in the caption, “Bas ek hi hoga jungle ka raja. The king @iamsrk is back as Mufasa with #AryanKhan and #AbRamKhan by his side. Mufasa: The Lion King hits theaters on December 20th.”
Commenting on the association, Shah Rukh Khan said in a statement, “Mufasa has an incredible legacy and is the ultimate king of the jungle who passes on his wisdom to his son Simba. I have a deep connection with him as a father and can also identify with Mufasa’s journey in the film. Mufasa: The Lion King shows Mufasa’s life from childhood to his rise to become an incredible king and the revival of this character has been extraordinary.”
King Khan added: “For me, working with Disney is special, especially because my sons Aryan and AbRam are part of this journey and it really means a lot to me to share this experience with them.”

The film was directed by Oscar winner Barry Jenkins and the screenplay was written by Jeff Nathanson. Lin-Manuel Miranda composed the original music for the English version.
In the English cast, Aaron Pierre and Kelvin Harrison Jr. voice the younger versions of Mufasa and Scar, with James Earl Jones returning as the voice of Mufasa. Scar was previously voiced by Jeremy Irons in the 1994 original and by Chiwetel Ejiofor in the 2019 remake.
Produced by Walt Disney Studios, the film is scheduled to be released in India on December 20 in Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu.
