The admit card for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) was released by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSE Odisha) today, August 12. Those who have registered for the test can check their admit card on the official website bseodisha.nic.in. To get the admit card, candidates have to provide their date of birth and registration number. The Odisha BSE advises the candidates to download their admit card on time to avoid any last minute stress or technical glitches.
The OTET 2024 will be conducted on August 17 at various test venues in Odisha. The OTET comprises two exams, Paper 1 and Paper 2, each of which lasts for two and a half hours. Both the papers consist entirely of multiple choice questions (MCQs). One mark will be awarded for each question and no marks will be deducted for incorrect answers.
OTET Admit Card 2024: How to Download
Step 1: Visit bseodisha.ac.in, the website of BSE Odisha.
Step 2: Navigate to the Latest Updates section on the site.
Step 3: Select “OTET Admit Card 2024” on the website.
Step 4: Enter your login credentials.
Step 5: Download the OTET Admit Card 2024 and take a print for future use.
The BSE, Odisha has set a minimum pass percentage for the OTET 2024. Candidates falling in the general category will have to secure a minimum pass percentage of at least 60 percent. Candidates belonging to OBC, SC or ST categories will have to secure a minimum pass percentage of at least 50 percent to be considered qualified in the test. Those who clear the OTET can get a certificate valid for seven years, giving them enough time to get a job as a teacher in the Odisha government school system.
Applications for the OTET have been accepted only from candidates who have secured the required percentage of marks in both academic and training criteria. Apart from this, candidates who are in the final year of their teacher training programme before the announcement of the OTET date and who wish to teach classes 1 to 8 in government schools, private government aided schools and private non-government aided schools in Odisha are also eligible to appear in the examination.
