WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – Monday will be another day where high temperatures will be about the same as they are this time of year. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy.
There are several times of day when isolated rain is possible, the first being in the morning when a few drops may come through south of Highway 10.
This rain will likely stay more south toward Madison and even farther south into states like Iowa and Illinois. The second and more likely round will occur in the afternoon and evening. Not everyone will get rain, but those that do should get less than 0.5 inches.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be dry as the high pressure system approaches our area. This will give us the two warmest days of the week with temperatures around 27 degrees. Tuesday will be sunny and Wednesday will be clear earlier, but clouds will move in later on Wednesday.
Clouds will move in on Wednesday, leading to our highest chance of rain of the week on Thursday and Friday. I mentioned Sunday morning that this is a slow-moving system, and that appears to continue to be the case. It’s too early to predict the extent of the storm or exact rainfall amounts, but rain totals of 1-2 inches or more are possible in some communities. A few more showers are possible on Saturday before it dries out again and winds down for the next week or so.
