Gianluca Di Marzio reported on Monday morning that Genoa have agreed a permanent deal to sign 20-year-old academy player Brooke Norton-Cuffy from Arsenal.
Fabrizio Romano added that Arsenal will receive a fixed fee of €2 million (£1.71 million) plus add-ons for the deal and that a medical has been scheduled for later this week.
Nizaar Kinsella of BBC Sport subsequently reported that the total transfer fee including add-ons was £3.5 million, adding that the contract also included a sell-on clause.

In summary, Arsenal will receive around £1.7 million up front for the transfer. A further £1.8 million could be added if Norton-Cuffy achieves his additional targets at Genoa. If they sell him later, Arsenal will receive a share of the profit.
Norton-Cuffy spent last season on loan at Millwall in the Championship, making 40 appearances, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
The defender was a consistent starter for Millwall during the first half of the season, but from February onwards he was generally used as a substitute.

After returning from Millwall FC, Norton-Cuffy did not take part in Arsenal’s pre-season training as he sought a transfer elsewhere.
Assuming the medical examination goes smoothly, the deal should be completed this week.
