Channing Tatum is playing Slater King in the upcoming psychological thriller Blink Twice, directed by his fiancée Zoe Kravitz. The actor recently spoke about his experience working with Kravitz on the film, saying that it was great to work with her because they both started their relationship as friends and were passionate about the project. Tatum and Kravitz first started dating in 2021 and the couple reportedly got engaged in October 2023.
Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz recently appeared at the premiere of “Blink Twice” at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, where the couple spoke to Entertainment Tonight and gushed about their creative collaboration.
Kravitz, who co-wrote the film with ET Feigenbaum, told the outlet, “I think there’s so much trust there, and you can go places that you might not be able to go with someone you don’t know as well,” adding, “It was a wonderful experience collaborating creatively.”
Tatum also spoke about his thoughts on her role in her directorial debut, saying it was “interesting” and noting that they started out as “friends” and were simply working on a project they both “believe in.”
The actor further explained that when a partnership starts from a creative place, “you respect each other’s point of view, you respect each other’s opinion and each other’s life experience.” He said, “I don’t know what I would do without her now,” explaining that everyone asked him if he was confident enough to “create” with his better half.
However, Tatum acknowledged that after working with her, he would recommend it to “almost anyone” because it allows you to learn who that person is and what they meant to you and “who they are to you when you’re in the trenches.” He also said that in those moments, you rely on the other person’s “perspective” and ask them for guidance and insight into what you may be missing.

Kravitz’s film Blink Twice is about Slater King, a mysterious billionaire and tech mogul who meets cocktail waitress Frida (Naomi Ackie) at his fundraising gala. Slater invites her to spend a dream vacation with him and his friends on his private island. But when she realizes that something is wrong with the island, she begins to doubt her reality. In order to leave the party alive, she must find out the truth.
Meanwhile, Blink Twice will be released in theaters on August 23, 2024. The film also stars Naomi Ackie, Haley Joel Osment, Geena Davis, Alia Shawkat, Levon Hawke, Christian Slater, Simon Rex, Adria Arjona, and Kyle MacLachlan.
