Ashley Iaconetti can’t get enough of the love her two-year-old son Dawson has for his newborn brother Hayden Cruise.
“He’s in love with his little brother,” the former Bachelor actress tells Page Six exclusively. “It’s very sweet to see. (Dawson is) so loving to him.”
Iaconetti, who gave birth to her second baby three weeks ago, gushed about her sons’ instant bond, saying, “This has definitely been the most beautiful thing for me so far.”
“Dawson already says, ‘I love you.’ He’s like, ‘Goodnight, baby, I love you,'” says the reality TV star, explaining that the toddler’s sweet gestures aren’t always prompted by her or her husband, Jared Haibon.
“The main reason we wanted to have a second (child) was because we wanted Dawson to have a built-in best friend, just like Jared and I had our siblings as best friends,” Iaconetti, 36, continues.
“It was really great to see how he had already built a bond with him.”
Since the birth of their newest family member, the family of four has been staying with Iaconetti’s parents in Virginia for additional support before returning to their home in Rhode Island.
With a few extra hands, the host of the “Almost Famous Podcast” and 35-year-old Haibon were able to take Dawson on solo excursions.
“He still gets a lot of attention,” she tells us.
The television personality reveals that her favorite nightly tradition is watching Haibon and Dawson rush to the fridge to grab their daily dose of chocolate ice cream.
The two then snuggle up on a sofa with Iaconetti and Hayden, while the toddler can’t help but shower the three-week-old with love.
Iaconetti, who married Haibon in 2019, is often impressed by her husband’s loving relationship with their two children and raves about him as “the best father,” but at the same time admits that she is “jealous” of how naturally he takes raising his children.
“He’s just so comfortable with them, he’s very hands-on and he’s just incredibly sweet,” she says, adding that Haibon is “warm-hearted” and “gentle.”
The mother of two continues: “He is more comfortable with newborns than I am with mine. I could break the child and he just rocks him and changes his diapers.”
Iaconetti also reflects on her most recent pregnancy, telling Page Six that she was “not nearly as sick” with Hayden as she was with Dawson, and just experienced “normal first trimester nausea” and exhaustion.
The reality star says “every woman deserves the birth” she had with Hayden, recalling Haibon cheering her on while sharing a popsicle with her between contractions.
When her 8-pound bundle of joy was born, Iaconetti rewarded herself with a meal from Grubhub.
The television personality, who is partnering with the food delivery company to offer a special deal to expectant and new mothers, said she eagerly ordered sushi after being unable to eat raw fish for the past nine months.
“It was amazing. It was so good,” she recalls, explaining that Grubhub is offering moms a $20 credit through the end of August and offers a new promo code every Wednesday.
All new and expectant mothers who take advantage of the offer will also receive a free year of Grubhub+ trial.
