A team from New York is just one win away from reaching the Little League World Series.
South Shore of Staten Island will play New Jersey in the Metro Region championship game at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 9 (8/9/2024) at the A. Bartlett Giamatti Little League Leadership Center in Bristol, Connecticut.
The winner advances to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Friday’s game will be broadcast on ESPN.

New York needed a dramatic win to reach the final, and after a 5-5 tie in overtime, the team from Staten Island scored the deciding point with a single with the bases loaded.
These teams had met earlier in the tournament and New Jersey dominated New York 11-1.
