The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the schedule for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Mains 2024, which is scheduled to be held from September 20 to 29. The exams will be held in two sessions every day: the morning session from 9 am to 12 noon and the afternoon session from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
Candidates who have passed the UPSC CSE Prelims 2024 are eligible to appear for the main examination. The results of the preliminary examination were released on July 1, 2024, after the June 16 examination. 14,627 candidates have qualified.
The UPSC CSE Mains 2024 includes Indian language (Paper-A) options like Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Kannada and others and electives (Paper-VI and Paper-VII) including Agriculture, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, History, Political Science and more.
This year, UPSC’s recruitment drive will fill up to 1,056 vacancies, including 40 reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
