Phew! Roommates, Donald Trump shakes the table again. In fact, he even throws it. Recently, the politician made one of his wildest claims to date, comparing the size of his crowd to By Martin Luther King Jr. Well, MLK’s daughter, Bernice Koenighas responded.

Trump mentions MLK
Donald Trump had a lot to say at his press conference at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday, claiming he draws larger crowds and even comparing his January speech to Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech.
“I tell you, it’s very hard to find a picture of that crowd. You see the picture – a relatively small number of people walking to the Capitol, but you never see the picture of the crowd. The largest crowd I’ve ever spoken to – I’ve spoken to the largest crowds. Nobody has spoken to larger crowds than I have,” Trump said.
Donnie couldn’t help but boast that his huge rally on January 6, 2021, had a similar atmosphere to that of Martin Luther King Jr.
He asked reporters to compare the images of those present with those of Martin Luther King’s speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
Trump said he believed he actually drew a larger crowd than the civil rights icon, and no one had ever seen a photograph of the crowd at his speech.
“If you look at Martin Luther King when he gave his speech, his great speech, and you look at ours, same property, same everything, same number of people. They said he had a million people, but I had 25,000 people. But if you look at the exact same picture, and everything is the same, because it was the fountains, the whole thing, all the way back to… from Lincoln to Washington. And you look at it, and you look at the picture of his crowd, my friend, we actually had more people.”
According to Business Insider, Martin Luther King Jr. attracted an estimated 250,000 people, but the size of the crowd that attended Trump in January is clear.
According to Business Insider, this is not the first time Trump has mentioned and drawn comparisons to Martin Luther King Jr.
In June 2022, he told an audience in Tennessee that his 2020 Fourth of July speech had attracted a larger audience than that of the legendary activist.
Reactions on social media
Martin Luther King Jr.’s daughter Bernice King got wind of Trump’s comments and immediately responded to his accusations on X (formerly Twitter). The lawyer and pastor wrote: “Absolutely not true. I really wish people would stop using my father as evidence of their errors.”
Bernice King also had evidence to refute Trump’s claims and shared a photo of the crowd at her father’s “I Have A Dream” speech.
Chile! The Roomies also shared their thoughts on Donnie in the comments section of The Shade Room. Many social media users criticized him for the comparison and thought he was financially overstretched.

Donald Trump confirms debate
During the conference in Mar-a-Lago, Donnie confirmed that he would debate Vice President Kamala Harris in September.
“It is very important to have debates. With FOX we agreed to have a debate on September 4th. With NBC we agreed to September 10th and with ABC we agreed to September 25th.” said Trump.
Roomies, if you remember, Donald Trump initially refused to debate Vice President Harris on ABC News. In July, he went on the air and challenged Vice President Harris and President Joe Biden.
“ABC Fake News is such a joke, some of the absolute WORST in the business. They try to make Crooked Joe a brave warrior because he didn’t have the guts to fight back – he gave up! Then they tried to make Sleepy look like a great president – he was the WORST, and make Lyin’ Kamala a competent person, which she is not. ABC, home of George Slopadopolus, is not worthy of holding a debate, of which I hope there will be many!”
