Leeds United can confirm their first-team squad numbers ahead of the 2024/25 season, which begins this weekend. Daniel Farke’s side face Portsmouth at Elland Road and when his side run out of the tunnel for kick-off, some will be sporting a fresh look for the new season.
Our leadership group has been confirmed: captain Ethan Ampadu wears the number 4, Pascal Struijk the number 5 and Illan Meslier keeps his number 1 jersey.
The new summer signings have also received their official numbers. Jayden Bogle will wear number 2, Joe Rodon will wear number 6 upon his return to the club, while Joe Rothwell has opted for number 8 and Alex Cairns for number 21.
There have also been some changes at the top level. Dan James will now wear the number 7 jersey, which was vacated after Joel Piroe switched to number 10. Mateo Joseph has opted for number 19.
