He has this long hair combed back.
Patrick Mahomes revealed that his Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce has a longer hairstyle because his girlfriend Taylor Swift encouraged him to do so.
“I was trying to get him to grow his hair, and all of a sudden Taylor is making him do it,” Mahomes said Tuesday during a town hall meeting with SiriusXM NFL Radio.
Kelce had previously opted for a buzzcut fade, but when he returned to training camp in Kansas City, Missouri earlier this summer, fans noticed that he had started to grow out both his hair and his mustache.
The sides of his hair seem to be trimmed a little more, but the top hair is a little longer and falls loosely over his forehead.
Not only did he grow a moustache, he also made a statement by trimming his signature dark brown beard.
Kelce, 34, has not been shy about showing interest in his grooming habits and showing off his different looks.
Shortly after winning the Super Bowl in February, Kelce went to celebrity hairdresser Vince Garcia for a “fresh cut.”
“After letting the beard grow for two months, it was time to trim it again!” Garcia explained in an Instagram video at the time.
Kelce joked that he had his hair cut to start a “new chapter” and “stop looking like a Neanderthal.”
Just one month later, Kelce’s favorite hairdresser, Patrick Regan, posted a photo of Kelce getting his regular haircut in preparation for his new show, “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?”
Although Kelce typically sports the buzzcut fade, he previously had to clarify that he did not invent the look after it was dubbed the “Travis Kelce haircut” in a New York Times article.
“Can you stop telling people I invented the fade? I didn’t. I walked into the barbershop one day and I didn’t even know what I was getting. I didn’t invent the fade,” Kelce said on a Feb. 8 episode of his podcast “New Heights.”
Kelce returned to training camp in July after spending most of the season traveling to various European destinations supporting Swift on her Eras Tour concerts.
