Pietta Firearms, best known for replica western and vintage firearms, has just introduced a new single-action revolver – the King Trio. This new revolver will be sold exclusively through Davidson’s, a nationwide gun dealer.
The King Trio is a western-style single-action revolver with a .357-inch barrel diameter that comes with three different cylinders for three different cartridges, including .357 Mag., .38 Spl. and .38 Super. The King Trio features some classically designed touches, such as a brass backstrap and trigger guard, and the pistols are adorned with a set of polished walnut stocks. Other key metal components, such as frames and hammers, are case-hardened. These single-action revolvers are offered with 4¾- and 5½-inch barrel lengths. While each .357 Mag. drum can accommodate a .38 Spl. cartridge, having a separate and purpose-built drum makes maintenance and cleaning of the .357 Mag. and .38 Spl. drums easier by reducing lead buildup and contamination from firing the shorter cartridge into the slightly longer loading holes.
