Midland is the culmination of the inaugural Feels Like Home Festival, taking place October 19 at a new outdoor music venue at the Brownwood Event Center in Brownwood, Texas.
Together with the Texan trio Midland, whose new album Barely blue, Feels Like Home’s music lineup begins September 20 and includes Casey Donahew, Micky And The Motorcars, Tyler Halverson and Hudson Westbrook. The festival, a partnership between event producer Soundskilz and the City of Brownwood, also features craft barbecue, an artisan market and other arts activations and activities.
Tickets go on sale Friday, August 16th and start at just $59.
“It’s an honor to headline the first Feels Like Home Fest, just a few hours from our hometown of Dripping Springs and Austin,” Midland residents Mark Wystrach, Jess Carson and Cameron Duddy said in the announcement. “There’s nothing better than performing for our fans in Texas. We can’t wait to be in Brownwood this fall.”
The Brownwood Event Center, originally built in the 1920s as a warehouse for the Radford Grocery Company, has been converted into a multi-purpose event center with space for meetings, special events and concerts. The renovated Ice House building on Lee Street will house the festival’s main stage, while fans will be seated at a new outdoor venue called the “Reunion Lawn” that can accommodate 10,000 attendees.
Brownwood has a population of 18,862 and is the county seat of Brown County in west-central Texas.
