Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum loved working together on Flash twice!
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the film’s premiere at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday, August 8, Tatum, 44, said it was a great experience to star in his fiancée’s directorial debut.
“Creating something with someone you love is probably one of the most fulfilling things, outside of having a child with someone, I think,” Tatum said of the “best” thing about making a film with his better half.
“It’s one of those … you really create something from nothing and it’s like a marriage or creating something where you think: everything we are goes into this and you want to create it with the people you love,” he added.
Kravitz, 35, also had nothing but praise for Tatum. “I think when you do something creative like that with someone, it brings you closer and there’s so much trust,” she told PEOPLE about how filming the movie strengthened their partnership.
“Yes, we were able to work together, get through difficult things together and support each other, and it was beautiful,” said the Big little lies Star, to be continued.

Thank you for letting me be a complete obsessive, psychotic control freak. Thank you for your patience.”
“Making this film with you has been an incredibly amazing adventure. Thank you for trusting me to direct you as a woman. It’s really very cool to make a film, but when you can do it with the love of your life, it’s even cooler,” she continued about the Magic Mike Star.
On Thursday, Kravitz and Tatum, whose engagement was confirmed in October 2023 after they were first romantically linked in 2021, stepped out on a date night on the red carpet at the premiere wearing sleek, all-black ensembles.
