Noah Lyles continues to be the most hated man in sports, collecting enemies from all leagues the way Thanos collected the Infinity Stones. It’s insane.
Today’s new enemy is Tyreek Hill, who foolishly claimed he could beat Lyles in a race after the gold medalist said that Super Bowl winners aren’t technically “world champions.”
Hill was visibly upset about this. He said Lyles should “talk about what he knows, and that is the racetrack.”
He’s right. That’s athletics. And you know what it definitely isn’t? Tyreek Hill. Lyles acted like he I did not know the man during the interview.
“What’s the name of the cheetah in football? I can’t remember his name,” Lyles said. He even asked a friend who the “guy in football who thinks he’s fast” was before being reminded that it’s actually Tyreek Hill.
Obviously Lyles is joking. He knows Hill well enough to know his nickname, Cheetah. Clearly he’s just trying to tease him again, and Lyles has become surprisingly good at it.
NBA players hate the guy so much that some players and fans were rightfully against Lyles during his participation in the Olympics.
I guess we can officially add Hill to that list now. We’ll see who he provokes next. Someone tell Aaron Judge to watch out – Noah Lyles is coming.
