Don’t mess with Sara Al Madani.
In an exclusive interview with Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, the Real Housewives of Dubai star talks at length about her decision to split from her “thirsty” ex-boyfriend Akin Fontana and why she hired a detective to investigate him.
“It’s a problem when the outside doesn’t match the inside, right? And it’s a problem when there’s a grown man who is so thirsty for fame and a moment and would take advantage of you to (be on TV),” Al Madani says of the attractive model and fitness professional who, in her opinion, showed his true colors just months into their relationship.
“I remember when we were filming, he went back to Germany (where he lives). And he was like, ‘So, when am I coming back to do more?’ I said, ‘Honey, it’s over. We’re done filming this and that part of my life.'”
Al Madani claims that Fontana did not react well.
“He was like, ‘How dare you take me off the show. How dare you?’ And I was like, ‘Brother.’ I was like, ‘I’m confused,'” she recalls, stressing that she kept “messages” and “receipts” from the alleged exchange.
The twice-divorced single mother – whose close relationship with her son Maktoum is documented on “RHODubai” – has been open about her desire to remarry and believes Fontana wanted to take advantage of that desire.
“To be honest, he was in a hurry to get married after two months of knowing each other,” she tells Virtual Reality Tea. “He wanted to rush the marriage and that was weird.”
She continues: “He says, ‘I want to get married.’ And I say, ‘Brother, I don’t even know you.’ When I say I want to get married, that’s my end goal – it doesn’t mean I want to marry Akin. It means I want to ultimately get married and have kids. I’m not going out for fun.”
Fontana’s penchant for the spotlight and his disturbing comments about marriage were some of the reasons why Al Madani ended their relationship.
According to Bravolebrity, he was also “extremely controlling” – and allegedly tried to ban her from training at co-ed gyms.
“He told me I couldn’t go to a gym where there were men. But he’s a trainer and he trains women. Have you seen trainers stretch women?” she says.
“I thought to myself, ‘So you’re doing these stretches for women and training women and I’m not allowed to go to the gym?’ So it was fine with him, but not with me.”

Al Madani says Fontana often accused her of seeing other men, which she believes may have been a projection of his own actions, so she hired a private investigator to get to the bottom of the matter.
“I hired a detective because he kept accusing me of doing strange things. I was sleeping in my room and he said, ‘You’re seeing someone.’ I gave a speech at a hotel, was in the hotel room after my speech and he said, ‘Oh, you’re seeing someone,'” she says.
“The only person who would do this is a person who does that.”
Al Madani claims she has found incriminating information, but she does not want to give any details. “I saw everything,” she jokes.
Since then, the brunette beauty has been with Fontana’s ex-boyfriends.
“And just for your information, if Akin sees this, I’m in a WhatsApp group with all your ex-boyfriends and they’re fucking amazing and I love them,” she says. “And I know everything and I have receipts too.”
It remains to be seen whether and when these receipts will be published.
“I’m not the type to drop it, but if someone wants to cheat on me, I have proof,” Al Madani adds. “I’ve met his ex-girlfriends and they’re all great and he ruined their lives, everyone’s lives.”
Fontana did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Al Madani assures us that the breakup – which is expected to play out on “RHODubai” – has not destroyed her outlook on love.
“Love is a beautiful thing,” she says. “There are eight billion people in the world. Do you think Akin or one of my ex-boyfriends could ruin that for me? Absolutely not.”
