Arizona, Georgia and Nevada no longer look like they will win for the Trump card According to the election forecasters at the Cook Political Report, the election campaign will take place in 2024. The states are no longer leaning toward the Republicans, but are “undecided.”
“Three weeks ago, Donald Trump led President Joe Biden in the national election tracker Cook Political Report by about 2.5%,” wrote editor-in-chief Amy Walter on Thursday. “Today, Kamala Harris is less than one percentage point ahead of Trump, a shift of more than three percentage points in Harris’ direction. Polls in swing states show similar results, with Harris reducing Trump’s lead by two to five percentage points.”
The website also found that projected election results in the “Blue Wall” states of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin were within the margin of error.
If the Harris-Waltz campaign succeeds in winning the states, it could build on the unlikely success of the Biden campaign, which won Arizona and Georgia in 2020.
Other election observers had shown similar results in recent days.
RealClearPolitics’ average polls have Harris leading Trump by less than one percent, while Harris has a lead of more than two percent in the overall poll of 538 polls.
On Thursday, Donald Trump held a press conference at Mar-a-Lago that was seen as an attempt to reclaim some of the spotlight from the emerging Democratic voters who seemed to be getting all the attention since Kamala Harris replaced Joe Biden on the ballot.
At the event, Trump mostly talked nonsense and made false claims, but announced that he had agreed to a debate with Kamala Harris.
