Arshad Warsi gave a scathing review of Kalki 2898 AD and criticised Prabhas’ performance. His remarks did not go down well with Sudheer Babu.
Sudheer Babu has defended Prabhas after Arshad Warsi criticised his performance in the sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD. Arshad had stated in a recent interview that he found Prabhas looking like a ‘joker’ in the film. Now Sudheer Babu has said that Arshad lacks professionalism in making such statements. Sudheer Babu said on Tuesday under his X-name, “It is okay to give constructive criticism but it is never okay to speak badly about others. I never expected Arshad Warsi to be so unprofessional. Prabhas is too big for comments from small minds.”
Arshad’s comments sparked strong reactions from Prabhas’ diehard fans and went viral on social media. It all started during the new podcast interview with Samdish Bhatia, where Arshad said, “Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he… he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata (What have you made of it? Why they do such things, I never understand).”

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD was a huge commercial success at the box office upon its release in July, collecting ₹1100 Crore worldwide. In the film, Prabhas plays a bounty hunter named Bhairava from Kashi and Deepika Padukone plays a pregnant test subject named SUM-80. Amitabh plays Ashwatthama from Indian mythology while Kamal plays Supreme Yaskin, the leader of the complex. Kalki 2898 AD tells how Bhairava would do anything to create enough units to live in the complex but his plans get stalled because of Ashwatthama.
Arshad was last seen in the web series Asur and Modern Love Mumbai. He will be seen with Akshay Kumar in Jolly LLB 3.
