Madonna’s close friends are worried that the pop icon has once again fallen in love with a younger man who, in their opinion, is “not acting out of love” but is merely satisfying her need to feel “adored.”
The 66-year-old pop superstar first introduced her new lover, 28-year-old Akeem Morris, on July 4, just months after splitting from her 36-year-younger ex-boyfriend Josh Popper.
The new couple, who have an age difference of 38 years, were photographed in a series of hot clinching actions this weekend, while Madonna celebrated her birthday in Italy with your loved ones.
However, insiders have told DailyMail.com that their latest romance has raised doubts about Jamaican-born Akeem’s intentions after the footballer’s ex previously accused him of cheating on her with Madonna.
“Her friends thought she was tired of dating younger men, but that’s obviously not the case and no one trusts Akeem,” the source began. “They want Madonna to be happy, but she needs to know that these guys who are less than half her age are not looking for love.”

They claimed that the 66-year-old music superstar keeps getting involved in romance because she simply loves to be “adored.”
The insider continued: “He’s a little soccer player who now travels the world with Madonna and parties with her famous friends.”
Although the relationship is new, it has since been revealed that Akeem was seen in a shoot for Paper magazine with the singer of Material Girl in 2022.
However, it is not clear how close the two remained before Madonna’s recent relationship with 30-year-old Josh Popper “fizzled out.”
What has become public knowledge is the fact that Akeem was apparently still in a romantic relationship with his long-time girlfriend Reagan Rice at the time he began his new romance with Madonna.
The insider explained that the sudden end of Akeem’s relationship gave Madonna’s friends further cause for concern about his intentions with the Vogue singer.
“The fact that he was in a relationship with Reagan Rice when he got together with Madonna says a lot,” the source noted. “Reagan found out he was dating her through social media. Her friends fear that if he did that to Reagan, he could do it to any woman.”
Madonna first shared photos of herself cuddling up to Akeem on July 4 as they celebrated the holiday together in New York City.
She later posted a photo of herself in bed with Akeem as part of a photo dump on her social media and captioned it, “Hot summer fun.”

Nevertheless, Madonna continues to enjoy her romance – although friends already suspect that the star will probably just turn to the next younger man if things with Akeem go wrong at some point.
“Madonna seems to have an interest in him, but it’s only a matter of time before the two are done and she moves on to the next guy,” the insider said.
“She has a constant influx of younger men, and no matter how many candles are on her birthday cake, her men always stay the same age.”
The source explained that Madonna’s close friends were getting tired of her warnings being ignored.
“It’s gotten to the point where she doesn’t seem to care, so people close to her have given up giving her advice,” they said. “She loves to be adored and that’s what he’s giving her.”
Akeem was born on May 2, 1996 in Jamaica but now lives in New York City.
He studied at Stony Brook University from 2014 to 2018, where he received a bachelor’s degree in political science and government.
During his studies, he demonstrated his soccer talent on the school team and, according to ESPN, was briefly a striker for Oyster Bay United FC in New York.

The couple’s project for Paper magazine was titled “Madonna Is the Wildest Party Favor” and included an interview with Nile Rodgers.
It followed her surprise roller disco party in Central Park at the Chic co-founder’s DiscOasis.
The photoshoot took place at Sugar Hill Supper Club in Brooklyn and captured a wild night on the town where she was joined by up-and-coming artists.
One of the artists was Akeem, who can be seen in the photos and video clips partying with Madonna and the others.
Akeem shared a post about the shoot on his Instagram page with the caption: “Just a jute from Spanish Town. Thank you for the opportunity. @madonna @papermagazine.”
