DEarlier this month, the City of Santa Monica launched Roll @ Santa Monica, featuring music, skate performances and entertainment with LA Skate Hunnies. The program runs through October 14. The second Wednesday of each month is themed, and group skating lessons are offered every Saturday and Sunday morning for adults and children. The 5,000-square-foot outdoor rink, operated by Willy Bietak Productions, is located at 1324 Fifth Street, Santa Monica. Photographer Chris Mortenson was on hand to document the events.
