Jennifer Garner’s relationship update amid divorce from Ben Affleck

While Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez deal with their split, Jennifer Garner has been offering her ex-husband an enormous amount of support over the summer. It was not unusual to see the two together, taking their children to Japan and getting their eldest daughter Violet into Yale. The extra attention given to Affleck’s relationship with Lopez also put the spotlight on Garner and her boyfriend John Miller.

The couple, who have always kept their romance off the Hollywood radar, were not often spotted together this summer. Life & Style A source claimed the duo were “taking a break” because it had been nearly four months since the paparazzi photographed them together. The insider attributed Garner’s alleged split to the stress caused by Affleck’s broken marriage. “Jen had so much going on with Ben, it just took it out of her, and she and John ultimately went their separate ways,” they said. “It wasn’t her decision.”

Well, it seems that the rumor is not true, because People joined the chat to confirm that Garner and Miller are “happy” and still together. Just because she spent a summer filled with major milestones for her 18-year-old daughter with Affleck, no one should assume anything about Garner and Miller’s relationship. The duo started dating in 2018 and went through a brief split during the pandemic. They got back together in 2022 and have been on good terms ever since.

“They meet in each other’s homes – even for a quick glass of wine or a casual dinner away from prying eyes,” said one We weekly Source revealed in July 2022. Garner and Miller’s “very private” dating strategy also fit Garner’s parenting philosophy – she wanted to keep her children out of the spotlight as much as possible. “I drove the kids to school and 15 cars drove with me,” Garner admitted The Hollywood Reporter in 2021. “I never had a day without them, and if I did, if I made it to a park by hiding in the floor of the pool guy’s truck or something, a nanny there would see me and call out a number and they’d swarm out.”

Garner has also made headlines of her own in the past, splitting from Affleck when he allegedly had an affair with the nanny, so it’s understandable that she would want to keep her romance with Miller as secret as possible. The duo will go public when they’re ready. In the meantime, no one should assume Garner and Affleck are anything more than friends who co-parent.
