Ruth J. King, born January 29, 1921, was a lifelong resident of Racine. She was the daughter of the late Leroy and Adelia (née Goll) Keenan.
Marriage and family
Ruth married Robert M. King on June 24, 1950 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Robert predeceased her on September 25, 2003. Although Ruth had no children of her own, she is survived by eight nieces and nephews, as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Career and church involvement
Ruth worked in various places throughout her life, primarily in Hamilton Beach. She was a dedicated member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, which later became the United Lutheran Church. Her commitment to her faith and community was evident in her long-standing church membership.
Performance details
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the West Lawn Memorial Park Chapel. Rev. John Bischoff will officiate. Memorials in Ruth’s honor have been suggested to the United Lutheran Church, 3825 Erie Street, Racine.
