Jennifer Lopez is reportedly “hit hard” by her sensational divorce from Ben Affleck.
The 55-year-old “On The Floor” singer filed for divorce from the Oscar winner on August 20, even though she did not want to end their two-year marriage.
Now that their ill-fated romance is finally over, sources claim that the mother of two is “upset and disappointed” with the Hollywood filmmaker, especially after he suggested their reconciliation.
“It’s hit her really hard,” a source told the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer to People. “She’s very upset and disappointed in Ben.”
The insider added that the “Jenny From the Block” singer is uncomfortable in the luxurious $60 million Beverly Hills mansion that the couple bought together in May.
“She and Ben bought the house for the whole family. It’s way too big for them and filled with too many memories,” the source added.
While Lopez has not been seen in public since news of the couple’s divorce, Affleck has been spotted out and about in Los Angeles a few times.
The “Air” director appeared excited as he picked up his Jack in the Box order from a delivery driver at his rental home in Brentwood, California, over the weekend.
Sources close to Lopez claim that she feels “relieved” after filing for divorce, even though the marriage did not work out.
“It was incredibly difficult for her that Ben decided to end their marriage, move on with his life and leave her behind,” a source told People on Monday.
“She didn’t want a divorce. She wanted to work things out. They love each other. Jennifer is not the type to just give up. For her, it was almost torture to wait.”
Lopez and Affleck tried a second chance at love in 2021 after breaking off their engagement in the early 2000s.
The “Gigli” co-stars eloped in Las Vegas in July 2022, a month before holding their wedding ceremony in Georgia.
Although the couple does not have any children together, their families come from previous marriages.
Lopez has 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck has daughters Violet (18) and Seraphina (15) and son Samuel (12) with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
