The first beta of Call Of Duty for the Xbox Game Pass is just around the corner – with the BlackOps 6 Early Access Beta is included in the subscription The weekend. Alternatively, pre-ordering the game will give you early beta access if you are not subscribed to Microsoft’s service.
We know many of you can’t wait to try it out before the title launches on full Game Pass in October, so here’s everything you need to know ahead of Black Ops 6’s first beta weekend.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta Dates and Start Times
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta will take place over two weekends. The first weekend is for Xbox Game Pass users and pre-orderers onlyfollowed by a second open beta for all players.
The first beta weekend begins 30.August at 10:00 a.m. PDT / 1:00 p.m. EDT / 6:00 p.m. BST / 7:00 p.m. CESTand ends on 4 September at exactly these times.
The second open beta weekend begins 6 September at 10:00 a.m. PDT / 1:00 p.m. EDT / 6:00 p.m. BST / 7:00 p.m. CESTand concludes with 9 September – again at the same time.
How to install the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta
As you’d probably expect these days, the Black Ops 6 beta installation is more complicated than it needs to be, but we’re here to break it all down and make your life a little easier.
So the beta is part of the Call of Duty Hub. To access the beta, you’ll need to download the base Call of Duty app and make sure you have the Black Ops 6 beta files installed as well.
To do this, go to the Xbox Store on your console, search for “Call of Duty” and find the Call of Duty tile with the Black Ops 6 artwork. Then click “Manage Game” and select the appropriate Black Ops 6 beta files to install.
You will need the following: Call of Duty Base GameAnd BO6: Beta. There are also two 10 MB files labeled “Open Beta” and “Beta Pack 01” – we recommend selecting these and installing them as well if you need them.

Fortunately, the team reduced the game’s file sizes ahead of the Black Ops 6 beta. The base game is now 40.3GBand the BO6: Beta file is 32.4GB – On Xbox Series X.
Overall, we expect just under 73GB Storage space required for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta on Xbox.
How do I access the Black Ops 6 beta on Xbox Game Pass?
As mentioned, this beta is completely free to play as part of Xbox Game Pass and integration is very easy.
As long as you’re subscribed, the Black Ops 6 beta files will be available and usable directly from the Call of Duty hub. If you’ve already played Modern Warfare 3 through the service, you may already have BO6: Beta installed as part of a recent update, so first check to see if you have MW3 installed.
Either way, as long as your account has an active Game Pass subscription, you can play the Black Ops 6 beta both weekends!
