Queen Mary And King Frederik of Denmark will not be among the guests of Princess Märtha Louise and Durek VerrettWedding. The Danish royal family has confirmed Hello! that the Danish royal family will not attend the wedding.
Mary and Frederik were on a state visit to Norway last May and celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. At a gala dinner during their visit King Harald V of Norway spoke about the friendship between their families, saying: “The Queen and I are grateful that the close family ties and friendship between our two families continue into the new generations. I think that means a lot to all of us.”
While the Danish royals will not be present at the wedding on August 31, members of the Swedish royal family will be present. The Swedish royal family previously confirmed to Hello! that Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel as well as Prince Carl Philip and his Princess Sofia will be present at the wedding celebrations in Norway.
The bride’s parents, King Harald V and Queen Sonjatogether with her brother Crown Prince Haakonhis wife Crown Princess Mette-Maritand their children, Princess Ingrid Alexandra And Prince Sverre Magnuswill be in Geiranger for the wedding. “The royal family looks forward to being guests at the wedding of Princess Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett,” the royal house said on August 26.
The wedding will take place on Saturday, August 31, at Hotel Union Geiranger. “It means a lot to us to gather our loved ones in a place so rich in history and intense nature experiences. Geiranger is the perfect place to declare our love,” said Princess Märtha Louise about the venue in 2023.
It is the Norwegian princess’ second marriage. The royal couple’s daughter was previously married to Ari BehnThe couple, who married in 2002, divorced in 2017 after separating in 2016.
