Marc Anthony’s house in the Dominican Republic caught fire on Thursday and local news cameras caught the massive blaze in action.
According to footage obtained by Latin American news channel El Gordo y La Flaca on Thursday, large orange flames and dark clouds of smoke could be seen around the 930-square-meter property.
According to reports, the left side of the house, which consists of bungalows where guests usually stay, was the part that went up in flames. The main house of the “El Oasis” estate was untouched.
A separate clip shared on Instagram on Thursday showed firefighters attempting to put out the fire, which they were ultimately successful in doing, according to a reporter on the scene.
It is not known what caused the fire, but news footage showed the foundation completely burned and piles of rubble around the pool area.
Anthony’s spokesman confirmed to “El Gordo y La Flaca” that “fortunately” neither the music star, his wife Nadia Ferreira nor their one-year-old son Marco were in the villa at the Casa de Campo Resort during the fire.
The journalist also said that the staff present on site were not harmed and no one was injured.
Page Six reached out to Anthony’s representative for comment but did not immediately receive a response.
Neither the 55-year-old salsa singer nor his 25-year-old wife have posted anything about the incident on social media.
In January 2023, Anthony and Ferreira tied the knot in a wedding in Miami, where they live permanently.
In June of the same year, the “Vivir Mi Vida” singer and former Miss Universe candidate welcomed Marco, their first child together.
Anthony has six other children from previous relationships, including 16-year-old twins Max and Emme, whom he has with ex-wife Jennifer Lopez.
