Kim and Kroy are keen to sell their villa
This seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom palace was supposed to be the epitome of their dream life when they bought it for $880,000 in 2012. But in 2023, it’s clear that the dream has become a nightmare.
After taking out $500,000 in December 2023 and another whopping $1 million in January, the couple appears to be running out of options. If they can’t find a buyer and pay off Truist Bank by August 26, foreclosure proceedings will be back on the table.
Their shared home is a 2008 mansion located on a pristine golf course. It has everything you’d expect from a reality TV star’s abode: a backyard pool, gym, movie theater, bar, wine cellar, and even an arcade. But despite the glitz and glamour, this house has been more trouble than it’s worth, and rumors of foreclosure were circulating as early as February 2023.
Kim and Kroy’s financial problems are well documented, but their journey began much more optimistically. Yes, you heard right – Kim Zolciak, the queen of over-the-top glamour, has been relegated to the nanny quarters while Kroy enjoys the master bedroom upstairs.
However, they are allowed to move freely in the common areas of their sprawling property, such as the kitchen and living room. The judge also stressed the importance of remaining polite for the sake of the four younger children.
Kim filed for divorce for the first time in May 2023 after over a decade of marriage, shocking fans who had followed their relationship from the beginning. The split was further complicated by financial skeletons in the closet, including a staggering $1.1 million in unpaid taxes she owed to the IRS.
