After a delay of several days due to Tropical Storm Debby, Greensburg West Point, Pennsylvania, will return to action Friday afternoon with the Little League Softball World Series.

Greensburg West Point is located in Westmoreland County.
The games will be played in Greenville, North Carolina, and have been moved to the stadium on the campus of East Carolina University since Friday morning due to heavy rain there.
Greensburg West Point will face the winner of the 11 a.m. game between teams from the Southeast (Rowan Little League, Salisbury, North Carolina) and Latin America (Jose Gonzalez Torres Little League, Monterrey, Mexico).
Greensburg West Point, representing the Mid-Atlantic Region, is 1-1 after losing 2-1 to Wilcox, Arizona (West Region) on Sunday and then beating Emilia Romagna (Europe-Africa Region) 2-1 in a second-round match on Tuesday.
In the 2-1 win, Peyton Reamer’s RBI fly ball in the second inning tied the game and Jocelyn Loft scored the winning run with a single in the sixth inning.

Jayelyn Luft started and pitched well for four innings, allowing just three hits and one run and striking out nine. Lexi Stabile got the win by striking out four batters and allowing just one hit in two innings.
