Does this 2000 Ford Mustang GT look familiar? That’s because we wrote about it in late 2023 and forgot it existed shortly after. However, we just came across it again. The same seller is offering it, and we’ll announce the new asking price in a few moments.
In the meantime, we’ll tell you that it has LS power. The modified LS3 V8 engine has forced induction. With E85, it develops a torque of 576 Nm and 440 hp. That comes to the wheels, not the crank, the display reveals, along with numerous other extras.
Most of the upgrades revolve around its new centerpiece and also include a digital dashboard, high-end audio with subwoofer, a fresh blue paint job, two-tone wheels, privacy windows and a black leather interior. More importantly, it only has 838 km (521 miles) on the clock, the same as the last time we reported on it eight months ago, so it hasn’t been driven in that time, so it probably needs a bit of love before it gets back on the road.

In late 2023, this modified 2000 Ford Mustang GT, originally equipped with a blue oval V8 under the hood, was offered for sale for $27,900. How much do you think it costs now? Try $18,900. While there are cheaper models of this generation, there are others that fetch much more. Be that as it may, this muscle car is an interesting project that deserves a nice home, even if some would call it sacrilege due to its new LS engine.
It costs about the same as a 2024 Nissan Versa, aka America’s cheapest new car, which is reportedly driving off into the sunset soon. It’s significantly cheaper than a brand-new 2025 Ford Mustang EcoBoost, as the four-cylinder variant starts at $31,920. A 2025 Mustang GT Fastback will cost you at least $45,460, assuming you can’t snag one at a good price, and the Dark Horse and Dark Horse Premium start at $63,280 and $68,275, respectively.
You can find the ad for this modified 2000 Ford Mustang GT here on Garage Kept Motors. You can also view the car from different angles to decide if it could be your next car. We don’t know about you, but there’s something very appealing about an LS-engined Mustang, especially when it looks very good, and we’d buy it in a heartbeat if such a car was on our shopping list. And you?
