Early voting begins for voters in Logan County on Thursday, August 22. Voters who are unable to get to the polls on Election Day have the opportunity to vote early at their county election board.
Sheleen Winscott, secretary of the Logan County Board of Elections, said early voting is open to all voters.
“You don’t need to provide a reason to vote early. Oklahoma allows early voting in all elections administered by the county election board or state election board – from school board and local elections to state and federal elections. This is a great option for those who are out of town on Election Day or want to avoid long lines,” Winscott said.
Early voting is available on Thursday, August 22 and Friday, August 23 from 8 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, August 24 from 8 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Logan CEB Early Voting Area at 219 S. Broad St. in Guthrie.
Winscott reminds voters that early voting is not available at polling stations.
Some voters may need assistance voting because they are blind or visually impaired, physically disabled or infirm, or illiterate. These individuals may request an assistant or vote privately and independently using the ATI device attached to the voting machine. Individuals who require assistance should speak with their polling place clerk or contact the county election authority directly for instructions.
