OMAHA, Nebraska (WOWT) – Today is another incredibly pleasant August day, with highs around 24 degrees and rare dew points around 4 degrees! That means it will be cool and pleasant throughout the afternoon and evening, with partly cloudy skies and a light breeze from the northwest. If you go out after sunset, bring a jacket! Temperatures will be back to 15 degrees by 9 p.m.
Temperatures overnight will drop to 10 to 12 degrees, making for a chilly start to Saturday. In the afternoon, highs will reach nearly 27 degrees with partly cloudy skies, low humidity and a light breeze from the southwest. A great day to get outside!
The pleasant weather will continue until Sunday, with morning temperatures around 10 degrees and highs around 25 degrees under predominantly cloudy skies. The first half of the day will be dry with increasing humidity. The next risk of storms will be on Sunday afternoon and will last into the night. At this time, the risk is low.
Humidity will increase over the next week, moving from comfortable on Sunday to muggy on Sunday and Monday. Dew points will reach muggy by mid-week.
An active pattern will be established throughout next week. There will be some storm potential each day Monday through Friday. Highs will slowly rise each day, rising from over 25 degrees on Monday to over 30 degrees on Friday. Next weekend will be dry with highs over 30 degrees.
