At the time, it was available for a whopping $119,900. That’s significantly more than a brand-new Ford Bronco Raptor, which starts at $80,580 and has a 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 with 418 horsepower.
However, this old-yet-new Bronco has long since abandoned its original engine, which was either an inline-six or a small-block V8. In its place came a new engine: a 302 ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. There’s no information on power figures yet, but it should have enough to go off the beaten path and tackle steep trails whenever its owner wants to.
The new engine is far from the icing on the cake, as this 1969 Ford Bronco has been fully restored and has only covered 71 miles or 114 kilometers since the work was completed. For added peace of mind, the new engine comes with a 70,000-mile (112,654 km)/3-year warranty. The vehicle is in great condition and looks better today than it did back then.

Other highlights include Ford’s 9-inch rear axle, Dana 30 front axle, modern braking system, new power steering, aftermarket exhaust system that gives the engine more room to breathe, lift kit, fat tires around the new 10×15-inch rims, epoxy base finishes, clear coat, new fabric top, new switches and lighting in the cockpit, new torque converter and flywheel, and numerous other extras.
This definitely makes it a loyal companion for many years to come, and it’s a shame that no one wants it. At least no one wanted it for the old asking price of $119,900. But what about now? The seller has reduced the price by $20,000 to $99,900, and while that’s still an awful lot for an old Ford Bronco, the vehicle might now find a buyer regardless of the amount of work that went into it and what’s under the hood.
We’re not convinced about the last part, which is why we’ll be taking another look at it in a while. If it still doesn’t sell, you can bet it will become more affordable. No matter how cool it is, I wouldn’t pay nearly six figures for an old Ford Bronco, as a modern Ford Bronco Raptor is more appealing and affordable. But you don’t have to agree, so let us know if this one, which you can view advert for here, is your next car.
