Vijay Varma has spoken about his relationship with actress Tamannaah Bhatia and admitted that while he knows that his romance sometimes overshadows his work, he has no regrets about being open about it. Vijay, who has been dating Tamannaah for over a year, admits that he never planned to keep their relationship a secret. He stresses that keeping a relationship secret requires a significant amount of effort that he was not willing to put in.

In a recent interview with Shubhankar Mishra on his YouTube channel, Vijay spoke about his decision to make his romance with Tamannaah public. When asked why he decided to speak openly about their relationship, Vijay explained: “I think we both agreed that if we enjoy spending time together and like each other, we don’t need to hide it. It’s a lot of work to hide a relationship. You can’t go out together, your friends can’t take photos of you. I don’t like those kinds of restrictions. I didn’t want to be out there, but I just didn’t want to be locked up. I didn’t want to lock up my feelings.”

Despite their public status, Vijay reveals that there are still many private aspects of their relationship that are dear to his heart. He mentioned that he has over 5,000 photos of them together, but he doesn’t post them on social media. These moments remain special to them, away from the public eye.

Responding to concerns that his relationship might overshadow his career, Vijay said: “Nowadays in our society, everyone is interested in other people’s lives. There’s a gossipy aunt inside everyone who only wants to talk about relationships. It’s become a disease and there’s nothing you can do about it. I can’t change it. As for my work, I get recognition for it after it’s published. I can’t deny that.”

The couple’s romance came to public attention after they were seen celebrating New Year’s Eve in Goa, much before the release of Lust Stories 2. The anthology, which features Vijay and Tamannaah, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, is said to have strengthened their bond. Tamannaah confirmed her relationship in June and since then, the couple has been open about their affection, frequently being active on each other’s social media and appearing together at public events.
