The historic V/H/S The horror anthology series goes into the afterlife. The Hollywood Reporter has released the first trailer for V/H/S/ In additionthe seventh installment in the franchise, which started in 2012 as a project with several found footage short films.
The latest chapter focuses on sci-fi horror and will screen at the genre-specific Fantastic Fest in Austin next month before hitting streaming service Shudder on October 4.
V/H/S/ In additionThe segments include StowawayThe film was directed by Kate Siegel and written by her partner, The Fall of the House of Usher Creator Mike Flanagan.
Justin Long, who starred in the horror hit Barbardirects and writes Fur babies with brother Christian Long. Meanwhile V/H/S/Justin Martinez returns with Live and let divewhich includes a story by Martinez and Ben Turner.
Virat Pals Dream woman is the first Bollywood contribution to V/H/S/ and was filmed in India. Pal wrote it with Evan Dickson
Jordan Downey’s stork will feature Dane DiLiegro, the actor best known for his role as Predator in the 2022 Hulu hit prey. Downey co-wrote the short film with Kevin Stewart.
And Jay Cheel concludes the event with a special presentation at the end Over and beyond.
Over the years V/H/S featured the work of the best horror filmmakers. The original series included then-up-and-coming stars such as Adam Wingard, Radio Silence and Ti West.
