LORENA, Texas (KXXV) – A five-year-old child wants to help other children by handing out free lemonade and cookies and asking his neighbors for donations.
- Caden and Wendy Harding will host a lemonade stand on August 10
- A total of $254 raised in four hours
- All proceeds were donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
TRANSCRIPT OF THE MISSION:
“Why did you have a lemonade stand?” 25 messages asked.
“To share God’s love and help the sick children. To share God’s promise,” said five-year-old Caden Harding.
This five-year-old wants to help other children. Caden Harding handed out free lemonade and cookies and asked neighbors for donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Caden and his mother Wendy spent four hours in the heat at their front yard lemonade stand.
“He came out, emptied his piggy bank and donated his own money as well,” Wendy Harding said.
The Hardings participated in the hospital’s summer lemonade stand Facebook challenge. The stand raised a total of $254, including $81 from online donors and $173 from donors who donated in person.
