This year, KIDP will participate from September 5th to 9th, along with Korean design companies showcasing furniture, stationery, tableware and more. In collaboration with IT Donga, we will introduce 23 design-oriented small and medium-sized companies participating in Maison&Objet Design Korea.

Cho Sungkwan, CEO of furniture design company RawBrown, designs furniture that maximizes the benefits of music. There are various designs available. The storage space of the RawBrown TS1 sideboard is open and naturally displays turntables and records, revealing the user’s taste. The TS21 sideboard is suitable for those who seriously enjoy music and use equipment such as turntables, receivers and amplifiers. The TS22 sideboard fits into any room with its black and white color combination. The SS22 sideboard hides the storage space and the records or books inside, but instead shows a texture in oak tones that exudes a calm and warm feeling.
With furniture that showcases both the nostalgic influence of the Mid-century Modern movement and individual lifestyles, RawBrown has received several prestigious awards, including Good Design at Good Design Korea (2021) and Global Living Goods (2022). The company participated in the Seoul Living Design Fair in 2021 and 2022 to meet Korean users, and in 2022 and this year the company is participating in Maison&Objet to introduce itself to global users.

Maison&Objet is a historical exhibition that celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Cho Sungkwan is participating in this exhibition to showcase the living room and audio furniture he designed. He wants to assess how well his furniture, which reflects the heritage of the Mid-century Modern movement and contemporary design awareness, is received in the sophisticated European market. He is confident that the value of high-quality furniture that naturally enhances people’s living experience, including music, will be recognized worldwide.
