According to the patch notes below, update 1.0.8.14860 slightly reduces the stats of Yaoguai King “Captain Wise-Voice”.

Black Myth: Wukong has sold an incredible 10 million copies in just three days, according to developer Game Science. The action RPG, which inspired by the classic Chinese novel “Journey to the West”recorded an incredible three million concurrent players across all platforms.

On Steam, Black Myth: Wukong has broken a number of concurrent player records. It is the most played single-player game of all time on Valve’s platform, ahead of CD Projekt’s Cyberpunk 2077, and the second most played game on Steam, now behind only battle royale PUBG. (Sony does not make PlayStation player counts publicly available.) In fact, Black Myth: Wukong helped Steam set a new concurrent player record.

Important updates:

  • Fixed an issue where enabling FSR could cause some players to crash during launch or the prologue.
  • Fixed a crash issue in certain areas of Webbed Hollow when NVIDIA Full Ray Tracing is enabled.
  • Fixed an issue that caused hair to stretch abnormally.
  • The hair effects for the Yaoguai King “Lingxuzi” have been optimized.
  • Fixed an issue where certain enemies could get stuck in their movement in certain situations.
  • Yaoguai King “Captain Wise-Voice”’s stats have been slightly reduced.
  • Fixed an issue where the Lesser Yaoguai “Lantern Warden” attack in the Pagoda Realm could knock players into walls.
  • Fixed an issue where the Summoner could become stuck and unresponsive when performing Whirling Strikes in Stance.
  • Fixed an issue where the Chosen One could not change stances properly in Chapter 6.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the Chosen to experience stat errors in certain situations.
  • Fixed an issue where the icon for the quest related to Yaoguai Chieftain “Daoist Mi” would continue to appear in the travel menu after the quest could not be completed.
  • Fixed an issue where the progress bar when collecting portraits in journals was incorrect.
  • Fixed some text errors in Chinese.
  • Added translations for portraits in multiple languages ​​and optimized existing translations.
  • Added translations for song titles and lyrics in multiple languages ​​in the Music Library and fixed display errors for English lyrics.
  • Optimized translations for talents, equipment and inventory in several languages ​​and fixed some text errors.
  • The layout of subtitles in multiple languages ​​has been improved.
  • The translation of loading screen tips has been optimized in several languages.

Additionally, we’ve identified an issue where setting the system language to Turkish on PS5 causes the game to crash on launch. Similarly, setting the Windows system language to Turkish on the PC version may occasionally cause crashes during certain boss fights.

If you are experiencing this issue, the current temporary workaround is to change the console language to English or another language from the PS5 main menu: Settings > System > Language > Console Language. For the PC version, please change the Windows display language to English or another language from the operating system settings: Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region > Windows display language.
