Hall’s couture collection was seen on the runway. He is the former fashion director of Halston.
“I don’t know if I’m an icon,” he said. “I’m just happy to be able to give back and participate and be here tonight.”
Walker co-founded Cross Colors, a legendary organization in the hip-hop world, in 1998. Before the Glendale event, the two met with design students at the 2024 charity fashion show in Woodbury.
Walker’s advice?
“I would tell my younger self to know more about the business,” he said.
Black Design Collective member Donny White, the Woodbury graduate, was honored as Emerging Fashion Designer of the Year. He is a former U.S. military member turned designer.
