Two villas. Nine bedrooms. 13 bathrooms. 1,590 square meters.
The former Ray Brandt family mansions – located next to each other at 1000 and 1004 Falcon Road in the Metairie Club Gardens – sold for $5.9 million on August 1. According to NOLA.com, local attorney Riguer Silva and his wife Neva Silva purchased both properties after moving here from another home they had lived in near the Metairie Country Club.
The homes on Falcon Road had been owned by the Brandt family since 2014. The late Ray Brandt, founder of Ray Brandt Nissan in 1983 and later the Ray Brandt Auto Group, died in 2019. At the time of his death, Ray Brandt had more than 700 employees and 15 auto dealerships and collision centers in Louisiana and Mississippi.
After a succession and five years of litigation over Ray Brandt’s estate worth more than $350 million, Sale of car dealerships and accident centers went to several buyers, including Gayle Benson, owner of the Saints and Pelicans, Troy Duhon, owner of Premier Automotive Group, and Damian Mills, CEO of Mills Automotive Group. Family members also agreed on terms for the sale of the two homes on Falcon Road, which are part of the estate and trust of Ray Brandt.
Both luxury homes overlook the par-3 17th hole of the Metairie Country Club golf course. 1004 Falcon Road, which sold for $4 million, offers 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms and 10,241 square feet of living space on a sprawling 200-foot-wide lot. 1000 Falcon Road, which sold for $1.9 million, offers 3 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and 6,507 square feet of living space.

“The backyard was a big driving factor. They wanted a bigger backyard and probably doubled it in size from when they moved in,” said Jambon, who has lived in Old Metairie for 39 years and worked as a real estate professional for 44. “When you walk into 1004 Falcon, there’s a huge skylight and a big open area with beautiful columns. It’s breathtaking. Also, the Spanish tile roof is an incredible sight. The house has all the upgrades, bells and whistles you could want.”
1004 Falcon Road is one of the more unique luxury homes in the greater New Orleans area. In 2005, builder Leonard Isaacs custom built the home using only stone and wood.
The expansive foyer features a colonnade of custom stone columns that runs the length of the home, as well as a stone staircase and soaring ceilings. The home is flooded with abundant natural light. The backyard features a custom swimming pool, covered patio, permeable paving and a three-car garage.
The master suite (30′ x 38′) plus an additional bedroom (13.2′ x 16.2′) are on the lower level. The lower level features a kitchen (16.1′ x 30.4′), den (22′ x 27.2′) and living room (16′ x 16.6′). Upstairs are four bedrooms and an office/den (16.8′ x 16′). Stone columns line the length and breadth of the second floor. The upstairs balcony offers golf course views.
The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, an island, pantry, double oven, wine cooler, dishwasher, ice maker, microwave and stove. There is a whole-house generator, security system and smart home technology.
1000 Falcon Road is a two-story stone and stucco home that sits on a corner lot measuring 100′ x 156′. There is a heated in-ground pool, patio and permeable paving in the backyard.
1000 Falcon Road also features an upstairs balcony with golf course views.
Appliances and amenities include washer/dryer, dishwasher, ice maker, microwave, oven, stove, wine cooler, wet bar, kitchen island, pantry, stone countertops and stainless steel appliances. There is an elevator and a movie room. The home has smart home technology.
