There’s a break in the pattern that has seen numerous triple-digit day temperatures this week. It will still be hot with highs in the 35s, but at least we’ll have a break from the intense 38s (although it might still feel that way this afternoon due to the humidity).
The fact that the weather is not so hot is thanks to a weak front. There is also the possibility of isolated thunderstorms today. Even if the probability is low, it is at least something. We need a little rain.
The forecast for the weekend is very similar. Highs on Saturday and Sunday should be around 35 degrees. One or two isolated thunderstorms are possible, but the weekend will be mostly dry. Next week temperatures are expected to be back in the triple figures.
