Bobby Lashley comments on his standing with Triple H compared to Vince McMahon.
In June 2022, WWE underwent a regime change when Vince McMahon resigned as WWE Chairman after allegations of hush money surfaced. Triple H took over as head of creative during this time, although Vince continued to provide input until allegations of sexual harassment and sex trafficking came to light in January 2024 in a lawsuit filed by former employee Janel Grant.
Bobby Lashley has had success under Vince McMahon and was booked heavily as WWE Champion and leader of the Hurt Business. Under Triple H’s booking, he was linked with The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) but has been off television since April due to injury.
During his appearance on the podcast “The Laboratory,” Lashley was asked “who he rocks with,” Vince McMahon or Triple H.
“Now if I say the wrong thing (laughs). I had a connection with Vince. Vince understood me. Vince was big on the show. He looked at people who were stars. He saw that in me. There were a lot of little nuggets that Vince gave me throughout my career, telling me different things. Vince looked at me and said, ‘I can see Bobby working his ass off. I can send him anywhere in the country to represent the brand.’ He looked at me like a star. I like Vince. I didn’t really have a big connection with Hunter. Hunter has his people. I tried, but we didn’t really work together enough to get to know each other.” he said.
It is unknown if and when Lashley will return to WWE television.
