Burger King likes to keep us on our toes in Japan, surprising us by announcing new products just a day before they appear on the menu. This is what happened today when the chain announced that it will be adding a Steak Sauce Whopper to its range starting tomorrow. And it’s not just the sauce that’s special, as the new burger contains real pieces of steak.

These new products are said to be on a whole different level in terms of quality, and the chain describes them as “gourmet burgers.” Both contain a 100 percent flame-grilled American beef patty and cubed American beef shoulder, the latter prepared using a two-stage sous-vide cooking process to enhance flavor. After eight months of trials, the chain was able to perfect the steak recipe by combining it with a specially developed garlic-infused roasted soy sauce and adding vegetables and mayonnaise for crispiness and extra flavor.
In total, four new Steak Sauce Whoppers are coming our way.

The bright red ingredient in the spicy burgers is not a sauce, but a pinch of spicy garlic flakes designed to tantalize your tongue with heat as you enjoy the meat. As lovers of spicy and tasty food, we will definitely try both versions.
Although the chain has not given an exact end date for the burgers, they will only be available for a limited time.
