WICHITA, Kansas (KWCH) – Early fall weather should stick around for a few more days as we continue to monitor the potential for showers and a few thunderstorms. Most of the precipitation through Saturday won’t be excessive, but as higher humidity returns on Sunday, there’s a greater chance for larger amounts of rain.
Highs on Saturday will be around 21 degrees across most of the state, and winds will remain light. Most, if not all, of the rain will fall early in the day, with drier conditions in the afternoon. Another chance for isolated thunderstorms is expected late Saturday night and into Sunday morning. Severe weather is unlikely.
There is still a chance of isolated storms early next week, especially in the morning hours. There is a chance on both Monday and Tuesday, especially over the northern half of Kansas. Temperatures will also climb back into the 30s, but highs around 38 degrees seem unlikely at this time.
