Samsung is likely to launch the Galaxy S25 series for a few more months, but rumors have suggested that this year’s Ultra model will bring some pretty big design changes. Now we’re getting a better idea of what the Galaxy S25 Ultra will look like.
Ice Universea fairly reliable source for Samsung’s plans, has shared images on Weibo that are said to show the front of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Like this year’s flagship, it has a flat display with narrow bezels, but a few key changes. For one, the side rails look even flatter than on the S24 Ultra (though this could just be attributed to the rendering itself).
The bigger change, however, is the rounded corners of the display.
Apparently, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will move away from the iconic, angular design of the Galaxy Note and take more of a cue from Samsung’s other Galaxy S models. The rounded corners here have a very tight radius, especially compared to models in the Pixel 9 series, and are quite similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Samsung adopted the Galaxy S look in the first few generations of its “Ultra” series, but opted for something more familiar to Galaxy Note users starting with the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which was the first to adopt that popular series’ S Pen silo. Subsequent generations have had the same rounded corners, although the rest of the lineup tends toward more rounded designs.
As for the back of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the design is said to be not finalized yet. It is unclear if it will look different, but Samsung will surely make a change after using the exact same look on the Galaxy S22 Ultra, S23 Ultra, and S24 Ultra.
The launch of the Galaxy S25 series is planned for early next year.
