TOWIE star Junaid Ahmed said he is “happier than ever and on cloud nine” following his “romance” with Joe Blackman.
Earlier this month, The Sun revealed that Harry Derbidge’s ex Joe had moved on with his co-star Junaid just two weeks after their split.
30-year-old TV favourite Junaid has now admitted that his love life is heading in the right direction despite the controversy.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Junaid said: “I am happier than I have ever been and that will show on the show.”
“I knew that Harry and Joe’s relationship was on the rocks before they came to Cyprus and because we were in Cyprus, everyone saw it.
“It didn’t work out for either side. I understand 100 percent that this is sad and I wish them both all the best.”
Junaid said there will be many emotional scenes when he confesses his feelings for Joe.
He continued: “I sit there and say there is something between me and Joe that you saw at the end of the first episode.
“From that you can then deduce where we both stand. The next time I start talking about these feelings for Joe.
“I am happy.”
Junaid sadly admitted that his friendship with his ex-buddy Harry is beyond saving.
He said: “I wish Harry all the best, I really wish him all the best.
“It’s a shame. When I sat there and said this was going to be the biggest rollercoaster of emotions, I meant it.”
Reality star Junaid hinted that there will be heated arguments between him and Harry
“Harry and I had a very open and honest conversation and, as you can imagine, that’s how it’s going.
“Joe and I have had very honest and open conversations about ourselves, where we are going and what is happening.
“There are so many emotions and poignant moments in this show, it’s hard because I honestly feel like this is the happiest show I’ve ever seen.
“I lost a lot on this show, but it also made me the happiest person I am.”
Despite claims that Junaid and Joe got together just two weeks after Joe’s breakup, Junaid admitted that he has no regrets.
He continued: “I do not live my life with regrets. I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason and that what is said will be so.”
A source told The Sun that TV favourite Harry was furious after discovering text messages between Joe and his ex-pal Junaid.
This led to a heated argument between Harry and Joe and the final end of the relationship, even though marriage had been discussed just a few weeks earlier.
A source told us: “Harry found messages between Joe and Junaid and that led to a big argument and their split.”
Joe and Junaid have been spotted on dates since returning to Essex and have grown closer following the Cyprus trip.
They continued: “Since then, Joe and Junaid have spent a lot of time together.
“They have been spotted on dates in Essex and staying overnight at each other’s houses, so it’s only a matter of time before things get going with Harry.”
The storyline will be presented to viewers later this year, when the cast are forced to take sides.
“This is likely to be a major storyline in the show – and opinions on it will be divided,” they added.
“It came completely out of the blue and is frankly shocking to most of them.”
Harry obviously feels betrayed and has now unfollowed his ex-boyfriend Joe and his former best friend Junaid.
Just last week, Junaid and Joe shared matching snapshots from their evening together on Instagram.
The couple, who are enjoying the early stages of their romance, posted a photo of wine glasses while they were together at a restaurant in Essex.
Someone who will be firmly at Harry’s side is his cousin and legendary “Towie” star Amy Childs, 34.
It seems like the drama started before the series even began – Amy unfollowed Joe and Junaid on Instagram.
But it seems like no luck was lost, as Joe also clicked the unfollow button on Amy’s profile.
