A Hialeah man who was filmed touching himself while peering through the windows of a Little Havana home has been arrested, police said.
Alexander Perez Piloto, 38, was arrested on charges of burglary and voyeurism, Miami police said Wednesday.
After footage of the incident was released by NBC6 and other media outlets, Perez Piloto was confronted by a family member and turned himself in to Hialeah police on Monday, officials said.
Police initially received a call reporting that a man was peering through the window of an apartment in the area of Southwest 10th Street and Southwest 7th Avenue on the morning of August 21.
A security camera captured the man coming in and looking around before he began peeking through windows and touching his private parts.
According to an affidavit, a 30-year-old woman and her three young children were in the house and the mother saw the man in the window.
The man was startled when a light came on and fled in a black Honda Civic parked nearby, police said.
Perez Piloto was taken to jail and is scheduled to appear in bail court on Wednesday. Attorney information was not available.
