A NOTE FROM RICHARD CHEESE
Dear fans,
This Friday, August 30, 2024, I will release my 28th new Richard Cheese album called “Blue No Matter Who”.
This album is something very special for me – and it is very different from my previous recordings.
I took eleven of my all-time favorite rock songs from bands like Radiohead, Stone Temple Pilots, The Offspring, REM, The Cure, and Lana Del Rey and performed them as earnest, melancholy saloon ballads. It’s just soft piano, lush strings, and my voice, in the tradition of a Frank Sinatra concept album on Capitol Records from the 1950s.
I’ve been wanting to record this album for twenty years and it’s finally here. I sincerely hope you enjoy it. Do me a favor and PLEASE read the liner notes below before listening – and it wouldn’t hurt to have a cocktail or two, either.
