Apple has released iOS 18.1 Beta 3 and iPadOS 18.1 Beta 3 to developers for testing.
The iOS 18.1 beta is an early preview of an update to iOS 18 that will be available later this fall. This beta introduces an initial set of features supported by Apple Intelligence.
To try the Apple Intelligence beta, join the waitlist in Settings. You will then be notified when the beta is available for your device. Both the device language and Siri language must be set to US English, and the device region must be set to the United States.
Apple Intelligence is available on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Apple Intelligence is not currently available in the EU and China.
Please back up your iPhone before installing the beta.

Notably, the release of iOS 18.1 confirms reports that Apple will delay the launch of its artificial intelligence features and miss the initial release of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. The delay gives the company more time to make improvements and fix bugs before the features are available to consumers.
